Just a few hours from Manila lies a serene gem waiting to be uncovered. Hulugan Falls, located in Luisana, Laguna, is the newest spot for adventurers seeking for a quick weekend escapade.
We started the day in Kagawad’s House where we paid the entrance fee (P 20.00 each) and met our designated guide. (Tip: It’s best that you bring your own food as there aren’t much choices here. Also, pay for the guide depends on you – just please give those Kuyas enough. 😉 )
We continued trekking for almost an hour. It was a struggle (newbie trekkers, I guess. Haha), the path was muddy (it was raining the night before), the summer heat killed us but hey, we made it! 😉
Tadaaa, Hulugan Falls! 🙂 There are actually three falls you can go to: Hulugan-Talay-Aliw Falls but, we decided to stay in Hulugan because of the rain. 😦 You can kill time here for as long as you want though it’s safer to be back to the starting point before the dark kicks in.
Glad that places like this are just towns away from home. It’s perfect for an easy getaway from the cityscape. Go pack your bags and drive to Laguna now!
