This was the last leg of my summer shenanigans. We hopped on to a weekend up north at Morong, Bataan together with Dad’s colleagues.
We stayed in Coralview Beach Resort. It’s along the row of beach resorts in Morong, you won’t get lost. You’ll be welcomed by the locals selling key chains, fresh fishes and pasalubongs.
Though it wasn’t white sand, thumbs up on how everything looked so clean despite it being a commercialized shoreline. (And hi there, doggie!)
We did island hopping the next day. There are bangkeros around offering their services, go nego with them. 🙂
First stop was the Pawikan Island, with barely pawikans honestly. But the municipality is working on growing their family by culturing pawikan eggs. (Oh, look how cute is that baby pawikan! 🙂 )
Next was the White Sand Island and indeed, it had white sand! 😉 Noticeable were the rocks covered in moss thus, not making it a swimming friendly island. (Tip: Go to the farthest part of the island and have a glimpse of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant.)
The finale of the island hopping was at the middle of the sea (really!) for snorkeling. This sealed the deal! There were no fishes around (we didn’t found Nemo or Dory 😦 ) but the water was so pristine and how many times can you float literally in the middle of nowhere.
Being a south kid, it was refreshing that we didn’t went with the usual suspects like Subic, Clark, etc. Can’t wait to be surprised yet again by the north!
